Check serial on computer

Sometimes this needs to be verified remotely. Script below gets the job done.

Scheduled reboot of Juniper SSG5

To schedule a reboot of a firewall of model Juniper SSG5:

1. 1. Make sure firewall have accurate time
2. 2. Telnet or SSH to firewall
3. 3. /> set timer mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm action reset

Upgrade Storage array on HP server

To upgrade a HP raid1 disk array with 2 disks of each 70 gb to bigger disks.

1. First make sure that the array is functioning and replicated.

2. Pull on 70gb disk. Insert a bigger one.

3. Wait for array to finish replicating disks.

4. Pull the second 70gb disk. Insert a bigger one.

5. Wait for array to finish replicating.

6. Open HP Array configuration utility.

7. Create a new logical diskspace on the free space.

All this done with all systems live on the hostserver!
